About the position

The Senior Sales Marketing Manager at Blue State will be responsible for enhancing the agency's voice and marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and generate high-quality business leads. This role involves creating compelling content that showcases the agency's mission and work, while also highlighting the culture and values of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B marketing, content strategy, and project management, with a passion for storytelling in the nonprofit and advocacy sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a content and messaging plan that drives leads and aligns with Blue State's brand identity.
  • Create marketing content and sales collateral in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Manage a content calendar for short-form blog content, social media, and email newsletters.
  • Produce long-form thought leadership pieces and event content, including gated content and webinars.
  • Oversee the development and management of website content and case studies.
  • Create and implement a social media strategy and community management guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the paid media team to manage Blue State's paid advertising program.
  • Develop quarterly reports to review marketing performance against goals.
  • Support the Partnerships team on proposals and pitches.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in marketing, agency, fundraising, or a related field, preferably with digital knowledge.
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills, with attention to grammar and content quality.
  • Experience in an agency setting or client management area is preferred.
  • Proficiency in publishing content on websites and social media, and familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
