About the position

The Senior Segment Marketing Communications Manager, Critical Communications is a pivotal role within the global Marketing Communications team of the Communications Systems division at Bosch Security Systems. This position is based in Burnsville, MN, and is responsible for leading the marketing communications strategy for the Critical Communications segment. The role requires a deep understanding of the target audience and the ability to mobilize branding, digital marketing, and events to effectively reach and engage them. The manager will develop and execute a comprehensive marketing communications plan tailored to the segment, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and leveraging a dedicated budget and resources. In this role, the manager will act as the marketing communications expert within the purpose team, driving innovative strategies and tactics to enhance brand visibility and market penetration. This includes overseeing global brand and portfolio coverage, as well as regional efforts in North America. The manager will challenge existing practices and explore new avenues for brand growth, including reference marketing, partner co-marketing, and lead generation strategies. Collaboration with senior leadership, global product management, and regional stakeholders is essential to prioritize team efforts and ensure relevance to business needs. The Senior Segment Marketing Communications Manager will also be responsible for building and nurturing a high-performing team of in-house experts, ensuring effective marketing communications support infrastructure, and maintaining a strong network of external resources. Regular reporting on campaign effectiveness and insights will be crucial for guiding future marketing investments and strategies. The role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including budget approval, brand positioning, content direction, and vendor management, all aimed at achieving the segment's marketing goals and enhancing brand awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the marketing communications strategy for the overall segment, mobilizing branding, digital marketing, and events with dedicated budget and resources.
  • Develops and executes the marketing communications plan for the segment in the region.
  • Understands target audience(s) and the best communications channels to reach them.
  • Leads with fresh and effective strategies and tactics to bring brand(s), products, and solutions to market.
  • Responsible for global brand and portfolio coverage in addition to regional North America coverage.
  • Challenges the status quo to grow brand(s) and extend reach and impact through various marketing strategies.
  • Collaborates with senior leadership, global product management, and regional stakeholders to understand segment needs.
  • Builds, empowers, and nurtures a high-performing team of in-house experts.
  • Reports on the effectiveness of campaigns and tactics for brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Ensures an effective marketing communications support infrastructure, including team, resources, workflows, and budget.
  • Maintains a strong network of external resources to achieve segment goals.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 10+ years of marketing communications experience.
  • 5+ years of digital marketing experience in a B2B work environment.
  • Ability to build and leverage key stakeholder business relationships.
  • Strong decision-making skills aligned with overall marketing strategy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to understand different perspectives and execute accordingly.
  • Experience in the intercom industry is an advantage.
  • Language proficiency in English (mandatory), German and Dutch (an advantage).
