About the position

As a Site Software Engineer with a focus on TS/SCI projects, you will be integral to our team, providing subject matter expertise that significantly impacts our clients across the federal government. This full-time, permanent position is based in Washington D.C. with a hybrid work model, requiring three days onsite and two days remote. The role offers a competitive salary range of $190K to $210K, along with a comprehensive benefits package. Your primary responsibility will be to leverage your extensive experience in software development to guide both the team and the customer in achieving their objectives. You will be expected to conduct thorough research, design, testing, evaluation, and implementation of technologies, particularly those related to Kubernetes and containerization. Your contributions will be vital in optimizing the core platform functions to ensure a robust infrastructure that meets the needs of our clients. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with both the internal team and external customers on a daily basis, ensuring that all development efforts align with project goals and client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Offer subject matter expertise in development to both the team and the customer.
  • Conduct research, design, testing, evaluation, and implementation of technologies related to Kubernetes, containerization, and other infrastructure components.
  • Collaborate closely with the team and the customer on a daily basis.
  • Contribute to the creation and optimization of all necessary functions within the core platform to establish a robust infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Software Developer or Engineer.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in software development languages such as .NET, Java, Python, and Go.
  • Experience working in a DevSecOps environment.
  • Familiarity with Source Code repositories and CI/CD pipeline solutions, including Team Foundation Server/Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, K8, and CI/CD Automation.
  • Working knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Rancher and OpenShift.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently when required.
