About the position
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Kitchen Connectivity team, you'll be responsible for ensuring that printers, which are crucial for restaurant operations, function reliably. You'll design and architect new features to enhance restaurant efficiency and profitability. This role involves working closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to develop software that provides restaurants with a competitive edge.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement features as part of Square's printer and reliability initiatives
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers
- Participate in the full lifecycle of product development, from early definition, engineering design and architecture, feature release, and continued iteration
Requirements
- 8+ years of industry experience
- Proficiency in native Android development using standard tools and frameworks
- A passion for building mobile products at all levels - from low-level architectural decisions to the overall product experience
- An innate desire to build mission-critical products that merchants depend on daily
