About the position

We are seeking a Senior iOS Developer to lead the development and maintenance of applications for various iOS devices, focusing on creating innovative mobile experiences that enhance Walmart's mobile presence. This role involves collaborating with other engineers and developers, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and utilizing Agile methodologies to drive change within the Marketplace Engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in medium- to large-scale projects by reviewing project requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Gather requested information such as design documents and product requirements, and develop code while conducting unit testing.
  • Communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Troubleshoot business and production issues, engaging support teams to assist in resolution and performing root cause analysis.
  • Provide support to the business by responding to user questions and concerns, identifying solutions, and facilitating resolutions.
  • Lead the discovery phase of projects to develop high-level designs in partnership with product management and user experience teams.
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and apply it to the development and improvement of action plans.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and monitor progress and results.

Requirements

  • B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or related field.
  • 6+ years of iOS development experience.
  • 6+ years of experience building, testing, and shipping commercially available iOS apps.
  • Proficient in Objective-C or Swift and familiar with at least one iOS framework such as Core Data or Core Animation.
  • Experience with RESTful JSON APIs and web services platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with performance tuning and memory optimization tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with mobile (web/native) development.
  • Exposure to full stack development.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration CI/CD development environments.
