About the position

We are looking for a passionate and process-oriented Sr. Specialist Digital Marketing Optimization to join our team. This role will support the Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing Optimization, with building, maintaining and developing digital channel processes and workflows and be responsible for driving and implementing ongoing optimizations across various digital channels, with a focus on paid and organic Search, across businesses, and brands. The ideal candidate has hands-on SEM and SEO experience, a deep understanding of other digital channels such as Social Media, and profound comprehension of Digital Marketing Analytics. This role requires a knack for project planning, task coordination, and facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders. To be successful in this position, the candidate must be organized and able to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously while paying close attention to detail and uncovering new opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the process for ongoing implementation of standard SEM and SEO optimization tasks
  • Drive processes that help uncover new opportunities and tasks and add them to the process
  • Build mechanisms to regularly evaluate existing tasks, phase out any that became irrelevant, and refine or add new ones with the goal of driving performance and efficiency at scale
  • Take ownership of building similar processes for other digital channels as you and the digital marketing team see fit
  • Work closely with SEOs, SEMs and other digital channel experts, external agencies and Product Marketing teams to implement ongoing, impactful optimization tasks
  • Support projects and initiatives that span across digital channels, e.g. privacy and consent, audience strategy, incorporating AI as a part of digital excellence
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics resources to help enable data accessibility for the Search teams that support data-driven decision-making
  • Support external agency communication and coordinate outsourcing projects and deliverables; ensure deliverables meet requirements and act as a QC POC
  • Manage workflow and maintain tight deadlines of multiple, simultaneous initiatives
  • Find and fix gaps in processes, use automation and AI, and focus on solutions that scale
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and communicate regularly with stakeholders to develop an up-to-date and in-depth understanding of business strategy and goals
  • Lead digital marketing roadmap items and be an active member of various project teams evolving around strategic digital marketing projects
  • Lead efforts around educating our stakeholders on digital marketing best practices and innovation
  • Support testing, evaluating and implementing new strategies and technologies
  • Support Digital Marketing projects and ad-hoc requests as needed
  • Provide project status updates to your partners and set expectations on timelines, communicate accomplishments, and mitigate risks
  • Keep up to date with digital marketing industry changes to proactively suggest new optimization tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in SEM and SEO optimizations, using common paid and organic search platforms, e.g. Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SEMRush, Screaming Frog
  • Deep understanding of Digital Marketing Analytics, Social Media, Programmatic Display, or related digital channels
  • Strong understanding of the SERP and how to optimize for paid and organic results
  • Deep understanding of standard/routine optimization tasks that align with best practices
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating digital marketing campaign efficiency
  • Strong Excel skills, ability to manage and update campaigns via bulk upload process
  • Experience managing multiple strategic clients
  • Experience with backlog management tools (e.g. WorkFront, Jira) preferred
