The Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition at WestRock is a strategic role focused on supporting hourly recruiting for high-volume and skilled trade positions across various manufacturing facilities. This position requires a creative and energetic recruiter who can develop and maintain talent pipelines, collaborate with HR partners, and ensure compliance with recruiting best practices. The role emphasizes diversity in candidate selection and aims to create a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners on hourly recruiting to support business growth through workforce planning and sourcing strategies.
  • Advise on employment market trends and talent availability in identified markets.
  • Identify internal talent and assess qualifications against business needs and external talent.
  • Ensure diverse candidate slates and encourage diversity in the search process.
  • Market WestRock to candidates by providing compelling information about the company's strategy and employment value proposition.
  • Manage the interview and selection process, including intake sessions and post-interview debriefs.
  • Facilitate sharing of regional knowledge and awareness of positions with global teammates.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in business, HR, or related field.
  • 5+ years of talent acquisition experience in a corporate setting, ideally with a Fortune 500 company.
  • Demonstrated experience managing recruitment for hourly and skilled trades roles.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing diversity recruiting strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of strategic business priorities.
  • Broad understanding of various HR Delivery Models.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills and strong client management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
