As a Hardware Design Senior Staff Engineer with Marvell, you'll be a member of the Central Engineering business group. Central Engineering is the center hub providing IP to be used by all the other business units including Automotive, Security, Custom Computing, Storage and Networking. You'll be part of the printed circuit board (PCB) engineering team designing Hardware for many different project at Marvell. Additionally, Marvell is developing state of the art complex chips and hardware for Data Center applications and you will be exposed to leading edge technologies and have the opportunity be part of this high growth and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design high speed PCBs for PCIe, 112G, 224G Comphy testing applications.
  • Perform Schematic design, Guide PCB layout, and analyze signal/power integrity results and drive board design reviews with internal design teams.
  • Effectively plan and organize board build process, component procurement, board bring-up, debug, and testing to ensure technical objectives and schedules are met.
  • Create Design specs and gather input requirements from other teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum BSEE degree in Electrical Engineering, 7 or more-year experience in hardware development for data network communications.
  • Proficiency in ORCad Capture, Cadence Allegro, Python, Verilog, FPGA/CPLD programming, and LTspice.
  • Must have hands on experience with RF lab test equipment (Oscilloscopes, VNA, BERT etc.) and standard lab operating procedures.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in electrical circuit design for power supply, clock distribution, control logic functions, and in basic communication protocols, such as USB, I2C, MDC/MDIO, Ethernet.
  • Deep understanding of signal transmission, signal and power integrity for high speed PCB board design.
  • Technical documentation skills for project design specs and ability to communicate well and work across internal and external engineering groups in resolving complex issues.
