About the position

Join Marvell's custom-silicon technical documentation team and help shape the future of our transition to modular, flexible, re-usable documentation. Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and reference materials, tailored for the semiconductor industry. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and quality assurance, to gather and understand technical information. Utilize DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) to create modular and reusable content, ensuring consistency and efficiency in documentation. Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing documentation workflows and identify areas for improvement and optimization. Manage documentation projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Assist in creation and editing of technical diagrams and illustrations. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in technical writing and information architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications or a related field, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical writer in the semiconductor industry or a related high-tech field.
• Proven expertise in using DITA for content development and management.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and user-friendly manner.
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in structured and unstructured authoring tools, such as Oxygen XML and Adobe FrameMaker.
• Demonstrated experience using component content management systems (CCMS) and versioning software, such as git/SVN or Adobe AEM.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency with technical illustration tools (Visio, Adobe Illustrator).
