About the position

GovCIO is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator (Linux Team Lead) to oversee the operation and maintenance of computer systems for their HUD contract. This fully remote position involves ensuring system integrity, managing network configurations, and implementing security measures to protect data and hardware. The role requires collaboration with various technical teams to resolve issues and improve system performance.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain smooth operation of computer systems, including operating systems, software, and hardware.
• Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network/system security measures.
• Provide regular monitoring and analysis for in-house systems planning.
• Prepare and ensure appropriate documentation exists, including operational instructions.
• Write or modify basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks.
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
