About the position

As a Senior Technical Account Manager for Alternative Investments at Bloomberg, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering exceptional service and technical support to our content partners and customers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Bloomberg remains the platform of choice for the dissemination of valuable content. You will work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders, including Account Managers, Technical Specialists, and Product Managers, to understand client data needs and market trends, which will inform your account strategy. Your expertise will help in identifying innovative workflow efficiencies and implementing technology solutions that enhance our systems, products, and processes. In this position, you will be tasked with establishing, maintaining, and improving relationships with content partners. This involves developing and implementing technologies and workflows that facilitate the efficient onboarding of new data sets. You will prioritize and lead projects with multiple partners, focusing on improving efficiency and return on investment. Additionally, you will proactively handle campaigns to engage with content partners, ensuring the quality and reliability of contributed content. As a subject matter expert in Alternative Investments, you will leverage business intelligence to spot trends, identify gaps, and suggest areas for data acquisition and content improvements. Your role will also require outstanding customer service skills, as you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing multiple client queries and projects simultaneously. You will need to have a solid understanding of capital markets and the investment lifecycle for private assets, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding support to content partners to build trust with their valuable content.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve relationships with content partners to develop and implement technologies/workflows.
  • Prioritize and lead projects with multiple partners to improve efficiency and return on investment.
  • Work closely with a team of Account Managers, Technical Specialists, and Product Managers to understand clients' data needs and market trends.
  • Proactively handle campaigns to stay engaged with content partners and maintain the quality and reliability of contributed content.
  • Become a subject matter expert in Alternative Investments by using business intelligence to spot trends and identify gaps.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant data technology or financial field, or equivalent professional work experience.
  • 5+ years of work experience in the Financial Services industry, including exchanges, market data providers, or financial institutions.
  • Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple client queries and projects simultaneously.
  • Understanding of capital markets and the investment lifecycle for private assets.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a desire to work directly with customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification such as a CFA charter holder or CAIA.
  • Experience in using business intelligence to identify gaps and trends, or opportunities for product improvements.
  • Knowledge in information technology and statistical analysis or computer programming, for example, Excel, SQL, and/or Python.
