About the position

WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President/Senior Environmental Engineer to join their Kennesaw, Georgia office. This role involves managing and participating in environmental projects, focusing on site assessments and remediation. The position requires high-level field studies, technical report preparation, project management, and collaboration with clients, regulators, and stakeholders. The successful candidate will engage in various environmental investigations and remediation efforts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and participate in environmental projects involving field studies and technical report preparation.
  • Conduct environmental site investigations and site characterizations.
  • Develop and implement environmental site assessments and investigations.
  • Prepare technical reports detailing field activities and environmental data for regulatory compliance.
  • Perform project management duties including proposal development, budget management, and schedule monitoring.
  • Guide data collection efforts for environmental data extraction and compilation.
  • Prepare complex data visualizations and analyses for environmental projects.
  • Analyze and interpret geologic, hydrogeologic, and chemical data from field investigations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Civil or related engineering discipline.
  • Professional licensure/certification (GA P.E. or ability to obtain license).
  • Minimum of 10 years of environmental project experience, including task management and regulatory interaction.
  • Experience with site investigations and remediation of environmental impacts to soil and groundwater.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental laws and compliance practices, especially CERCLA and RCRA.
  • Experience with soil and groundwater sampling via various drilling methods.
  • Experience with soil logging based on the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS).
  • Experience installing groundwater monitoring wells and remediation wells.
  • Proficiency in software such as gINT, OpenGround Cloud, and ArcGIS.
  • Subcontractor management experience including procurement and scheduling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in technical report writing.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Health and Safety Training Certified.
