About the position

Flock Safety is seeking a Technical Project Manager to bridge the gap between embedded, cloud, mobile, and quality teams to drive successful delivery of software products. This role will focus on cross-functional alignment, particularly in the cloud, mobile, or integration engineering space, and will facilitate Agile/Scrum practices where applicable. The position is responsible for enhancing Flock’s processes and tools to improve the ability to deliver solutions quickly to customers, even as the product portfolio and engineering teams grow substantially.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers to ensure detailed plans for timely delivery of device deliverables.
  • Develop plans aligned with key stakeholders, including product management, operations, and leadership.
  • Identify gaps or risks and mitigate those issues proactively.
  • Foster a project environment with strong communication, facilitating team meetings and documenting decisions.
  • Navigate the engineering environment with a technical background.

Requirements

  • Experience with project management software, particularly the Atlassian portfolio and Jira.
  • Proven experience as a member of a development team that has shipped consumer-facing software, preferably IoT electronic devices utilizing Android.
  • Strong experience with Agile development and the Scrum process; Scrum master certification preferred.
  • Ability to develop plans aligned with stakeholders and ensure project goals are clear.
  • Capable of identifying risks and moving quickly to mitigate them.

  • Experience in a technical project management role within a technology company.
