About the position

The Sr Technical Project Manager is responsible for the successful operational execution of the firm's highest priority projects, managing all aspects from inception to conclusion. This role involves supervising project managers, training colleagues in project management, and ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within budget. The position is based in Tampa, FL, and operates in a hybrid work environment, overseeing complex technical projects across the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure of complex technical projects.
• Ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget while managing project scope.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Plan the overall project delivery cycle, goals, and objectives.
• Drive the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle across technical teams.
• Coordinate overall project documentation such as agenda, project plans, meeting minutes, and status updates.
• Deliver projects on-time and on-budget by maintaining project schedules and managing financials.
• Collaborate and communicate with stakeholders, project team members, and vendors.

Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Technical Project Manager with core software applications delivery.
• Experience overseeing the end-to-end delivery of technical projects from inception through deployment.
• Strong technical background, preferably in software development.
• Working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as Jira or MS Project.
• Extensive experience in an agile delivery model (Scrum or Kanban).
• Experience leading SAFe Program Increment (PI) Planning ceremonies.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and business languages.
• Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• High level of proficiency in agile-based tools (Agile Central, Jira, ApptioTargetProcess).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in project management.
