About the position

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. As a Senior Technical Writer you will have the opportunity to do the following:

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and execute acquisition related policies, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the USCG Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Ship Design Team
• Develop and document internal/external business processes and contract requirements at all stages of a program's life cycle.
• Deliver high quality documentation summarizing complex technical concepts in an easily understandable format.
• Develop high-level reports and presentations for briefing Program Managers and senior leadership on all elements of acquisition program performance with quantitative analysis and recommendations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance
• At least 5+ years of experience in writing and reviewing technical engineering documents.
