Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, including software and system engineering, systems operation, testing, and user documentation.
- Write and edit technical documentation for all project hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and how-to guides.
- Create code documentation for software, providing implementation and end-user guides for capabilities.
- Develop field, data definition, and data flow formats, as well as technical drawings and instructional documentation.
- Consult with technical personnel and other available resources to gather necessary information and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Ensure all documentation meets Government standards and regulatory requirements.
- Reports to leadership and stakeholders and is open to receiving direction and feedback.
- Collaborates with software developers, network engineers, and Government leads.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation for all integration processes and systems.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues in a timely manner.
- Stays up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.
- Mentors and provides guidance to junior engineers on the team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in a software or systems engineering environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.
- Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to understand and explain exceptionally complex concepts & processes that span multiple organizations and disciplines.
- Performs multiple tasks at specialist level.
- Proven experience in DevOps engineering and integration management.
- Recognized Industry Leader in their area of Expertise.
- 8+ years of experience in system integration, with a strong understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, and subsystem integration.
- Proficiency in understanding cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management principles.
- Excellent planning, problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Leads and mentors multiple Junior/Mid-level personnel.
- Evaluates & recommends new technology & processes based upon cost, risk, mission.
