About the position

The Therapeutic Account Specialist (TAS) at Bristol Myers Squibb plays a crucial role in engaging with Health Care Providers (HCPs) to drive the adoption of BMS medicines. This field-based position focuses on delivering a differentiated customer experience through scientific dialogue and collaboration with various stakeholders in the healthcare continuum. The TAS is responsible for promoting BMS products, maintaining strong relationships with key customers, and ensuring compliance with regulations while achieving business performance objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating the clinical and scientific rationale for their use.
  • Engages with HCPs to maintain and grow scientific expertise in assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Uses available tools to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates scientific expertise in presenting information to HCPs and ensures medical accuracy.
  • Conducts in-office presentations and organizes external speaker programs.
  • Maintains expertise on emerging data for approved indications and engages medical support for complex inquiries.
  • Collaborates with other field teams to enhance the customer experience and shares insights internally.
  • Complies with all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS conduct.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to assist physicians in patient care.
  • Experience in building credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset.
  • Experience in Oncology is required.
  • Strong account management skills and proven sales performance track record.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive team mindset.
