About the position

The Senior Trade Risk Analyst is an experienced trade analyst with detailed knowledge of the managed accounts business, specifically in separately managed accounts and overlay management. The Senior Trade Risk Analyst is responsible for the oversight of the daily audit, review, and verification of trading department responsibilities. This individual's primary role is to ensure that all instructions from model providers, clients, and other parties are being completed in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner. This person should be extremely detailed oriented and serve as a role model to other Trade Analysts.

Responsibilities

  • Verify investment actions from model providers are being responded to
  • Verify all model change activity has been performed accurately
  • Verify model only programs have been updated accurately
  • Verify and audit trade details from investment actions (ticker, weight, and side)
  • Monitor and review investment action working prices
  • Verify new accounts and styles changes have been traded
  • Verify withdrawals and deposits have been processed and liquidations have taken place
  • Monitor, process, and verify all requested losses/gains have been traded accurately for Tax Harvesting
  • Ensure accounts are being reviewed and traded for position/sleeve/allocation drift
  • Management of the weekly reconciliation of SMA models and Portal models
  • Make drift adjustment recommendations and verify changes are made timely and accurately
  • Collaboratively support daily departmental functions in a lead capacity
  • Contribute to general risk management and process/procedural improvements
  • Support and help reinforce a team-based environment with focus around policy and procedural adherence

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-5 years' experience with SMA/UMA/portfolio management
  • Experience with multiple trade order systems including Vestmark, APL, etc.
  • Experience with market data platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.)
  • Attention to detail, strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
  • High level of accuracy, risk awareness and ensurance of procedural adherence
  • Team player with a professional and positive demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple responsibilities

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate degree and/or CFA or other professional designation desirable
