The Senior Underwriter position within Baker Tilly Capital, LLC's Development Community Advisory - Capital Formation ("DCA") team offers a unique opportunity to be part of a growing team within our FINRA Broker-Dealer. This role is designed for a valued business advisor who will deliver industry-focused financial services to energy and infrastructure clients. Baker Tilly Capital is a Boutique Investment Bank that specializes in Tax Credits, Mergers & Acquisitions, capital sourcing, project finance, and corporate advisory. With a proven track record of financing over 1,000 tax credit transactions and more than $20 billion in tax credits, including programs such as 45Q, New Markets Tax Credit, Affordable Housing, Historic Tax Credits, and Opportunity Zones, we are well-positioned to leverage our experience and investor base in the clean energy sector. As part of the Energy Team, which is currently comprised of 45 professionals, you will play a crucial role in helping companies navigate the significant energy transition from traditional energy sources to clean energy and decarbonization. Your responsibilities will include developing and financing key energy infrastructure projects, working closely with practice area leadership to serve clients who are at the forefront of this transition. Additionally, you will assist in securing financing and equity sources for transactions, negotiate financing agreements, and support acquisition, preservation, disposition, and recapitalization strategies for owners of energy asset portfolios. Your expertise will also extend to various aspects of transactions involving federal tax, including preparing relevant application materials and structuring the monetization of tax credits to assist clients effectively.
