About the position

The Senior Visual Designer at Jellyvision will play a crucial role in enhancing the ALEX brand and creating a unique product identity for the Medicare product. This position involves designing a variety of materials, from multimedia products to marketing collateral, with a focus on educating and engaging users. The designer will collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development process, ensuring that visual concepts are effectively communicated and implemented. The role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and the ability to innovate in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Bring the Medicare product to life through compelling and engaging design, illustration, and animation.
• Create sketches, wireframes, mockups, and storyboards to polished final illustrations and animations.
• Design supporting materials including presentations, social media graphics, email templates, and marketing collateral.
• Distill complex ideas into clear, concise visuals that engage users.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team throughout all stages of development, driving visual concepts through ideation and brainstorming.
• Work with writers to ensure a harmonious relationship between visuals and text.
• Ensure design work is implemented as intended by collaborating with engineers and team members.
• Explore new tools and technologies to enhance user experience, including nonlinear animation tools like Lottie and Rive.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design, illustration, and animation.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of styles, particularly in user-facing digital product experiences.
• Expertise in visual design principles such as composition, color, typographic design, and conceptual design thinking.
• Strong written and oral communication skills to articulate visual solutions effectively.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Procreate, and Figma.
• Expertise in current web and mobile interaction design patterns and trends.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage a dynamic workload.
• A humble, curious team player with a strong desire to collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and other frontend technologies.
• Experience with animation platforms such as Lottie and Rive.
