About the position

As the Senior Writer within the growing Public Private Solutions (PPS) marketing pod at Capital Group, you will play a pivotal role in leading the content strategy and crafting compelling content to support the launch of new public private solutions products. This is a newly established position within a new team, and your primary responsibility will be to develop messaging that effectively communicates the value of these innovative products. You will collaborate closely with various content stakeholders to determine the strategic direction, key objectives, and themes for the content you create. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all content aligns with business goals, resonates with the intended audience, and adheres to corporate brand standards, style guides, as well as legal and compliance guidelines. In this role, you will gradually become the subject matter expert on the new products, serving as a valuable resource for other writers and the broader marketing team. Your background in communications or writing on complex financial topics, particularly in the realm of alternatives within the finance industry, will be instrumental in your contributions. You possess a unique ability to distill complex ideas into clear, engaging prose, making dense topics accessible to a wider audience. Your creativity will allow you to adapt your writing style for various mediums, and you will be eager to embrace the challenges that come with contributing to the evolution of investment solutions at Capital Group.

Responsibilities

• Lead the content strategy for new public private solutions products.
• Develop original content in collaboration with content stakeholders.

• Become a subject matter expert on new products and support other writers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Journalism, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of financial/investment writing experience.
• Knowledge of the investment management industry and complex financial topics.
• Experience writing about alternative investment products is a plus.
• Portfolio of financial-services editorial content demonstrating superb writing skills.
• Ability to distill and synthesize complex ideas into clear prose.
• Eagerness to learn about products, marketing strategy, and audience needs.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders to develop content on financial products or trends.
• Strong digital literacy and understanding of social media and content marketing.
• Competency in data analysis and familiarity with market data sources.
• Ability to navigate a heavily regulated industry and work with legal and compliance partners.
• Comfortable with a hybrid work schedule.
