About the position

Meta's Wearables/AR team is at the forefront of developing innovative products that enhance human connection. As a Sensor Hardware Electrical Engineer within Reality Labs, you will play a crucial role in designing and integrating advanced sensing solutions for future Meta products. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to push the boundaries of technology and deliver best-in-class sensor solutions for battery-operated devices. You will work closely with internal research teams to transition groundbreaking sensing technologies from concept to production, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. In this role, you will leverage your strong background in analog circuit design and optoelectronics to build, debug, and validate prototypes. You will apply electrical engineering principles to convert reference designs into custom product solutions, which includes designing schematics, supervising board and flexible printed circuit (FPC) layouts, and actively participating in design reviews to support sensor integration into products. Your expertise will also be essential in optimizing sensor architecture, selecting appropriate sensor components, and designing effective sensing systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with contract manufacturers (CM) and joint development manufacturers (JDM) to maximize the efficiency of internal resources and enhance product differentiation. You will perform lab measurements and factory tests to validate designs and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Your ability to drive the resolution of technical challenges by working with cross-functional teams—including Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Quality, and Reliability—will be key to the success of our projects.
