About the position

The Server & Storage System Engineer II position at LCRA involves building and maintaining critical computer systems within the Operational Technology team. This role is essential for ensuring the reliability and security of servers, workstations, and virtualization platforms, while also providing support for various business applications. The engineer will play a key role in adhering to compliance standards and participating in an on-call rotation to support internal customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain servers and workstations (Windows/Linux).
• Build and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware).
• Maintain network storage devices (NetApp).
• Review and install security related updates to system hardware and software.
• Support standard business applications (Active Directory, SharePoint, Exchange, SQL).
• Adhere to NERC-CIP Compliance program.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

Requirements

• Six or more years of experience in system administration or other IT related field.
• A degree(s) in computer science, information technology or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Intermediate to Advanced level of technical knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, SCCM, and Domain Administration.
