As a Server at JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America, you will play a vital role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for welcoming guests, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every aspect of their dining experience is exceptional. Your knowledge of our menu will help guide guests in their choices, and your friendly demeanor will make them feel at home. In this role, you will greet guests and attend to their tables promptly, serve food and beverages, and provide recommendations as needed. You will also be responsible for accurately recording transactions in the MICROS system and ensuring guest satisfaction with each dish and drink served. Cleaning tables, completing closing tasks, and restocking dishes and supplies will also be part of your daily responsibilities. We are looking for individuals with good conversational skills, a positive attitude, and a team-oriented personality. Previous experience as a server is a significant advantage, but not required. This position requires the ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods while maintaining a professional appearance with a clean uniform. Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and attend to tables promptly.
- Serve food and beverages to guests and provide recommendations as needed.
- Share knowledge of the menu to assist guests with questions and special requests.
- Accurately record transactions in the MICROS system in a timely manner.
- Approach guests to ensure satisfaction with each dish and drink served.
- Clean tables, complete closing tasks, and restock dishes and other supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good conversational skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality.
- Previous experience as a server is considered a significant advantage.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds (10 kg).
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
