About the position

The Service Advisor role involves providing high-quality service consultation at the service counter, processing warranty claims with OEMs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. Responsibilities

• Ascertain vehicle problems by listening to customers' descriptions, conducting inspections, and reviewing service records.
• Verify warranty contracts and develop cost estimates by costing materials, supplies, labor, and obtaining customer approval.
• Prepare Repair Orders (ROs) that clearly describe vehicle problems, causes discovered, and required repairs, entering the ROs into the Dealer Management System (DMS).
• Oversee the repair process to ensure repairs are completed and vehicles perform to desired expectations.
• Deliver vehicles to customers after repairs are completed and collect payment while closing the Repair Order.
• Organize and prioritize the workflow of technicians in the shop.
• Timely process warranty claims with OEMs and issue parts requisitions with the parts department, closing out warranty claims (may consume 30% of employee's time).
• Ensure warranty parts arrive and are handed over to the right technician, and close the Repair Order.
• Continue self-learning and training via online and on-the-job training opportunities.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of automotive sales, service, or parts experience required.
• Good communication skills.
• Strong focus on customer service.
• Ability to collaborate well with coworkers.
• Valid in-state driver's license.
• Ability to use computers and digital diagnostic tools in vehicle setup.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks as needed.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule if necessary.
