Join the City of Fullerton's Public Works Department as a Sewer Supervisor, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the city's sewer and wastewater systems. This position is ideal for an enthusiastic and experienced individual who is ready to lead sewer operations and ensure the infrastructure runs smoothly. As a Sewer Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities related to sewer and wastewater systems, from inspections to repairs, ensuring compliance with regulations and blueprints. In this role, you will select, train, motivate, and evaluate your crew, helping them grow and develop their skills while maintaining the city's sewer systems in top shape. You will also be expected to get out in the field to inspect sewer lines, oversee repairs, and respond to inquiries, complaints, and emergencies with a calm and professional demeanor. Additionally, you will enforce the Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) Program to keep the systems clean and compliant with state regulations. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience in sewer system maintenance and repair, including two years of lead or supervisory experience. A valid Collection System Maintenance Certificate Grade II from the California Water Environment Association (CWEA) is required, along with the ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
