About The Position

The Wealth Services Advisor at Shell Federal Credit Union is responsible for shaping the financial futures of community members through strong relationships and effective financial strategies. This role involves meeting clients' financial goals by providing tailored advice and solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining professional standards. The advisor will engage in ongoing professional development and generate leads to build their practice.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work-related experience with a proven track record of success.
  • FINRA Series 7 license required.
  • State Securities (Series 63 or Series 66) license required.
  • State IAR (Series 65 or Series 66) license required.
  • State Life, Health Insurance and Variable Products lines license required.
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and listening communication skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Meet all Game Changer Commitments and Shell FCU Service Distinctions.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all applicable rules and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Attend annual training sessions as scheduled.
  • Perform job duties in compliance with Shell FCU procedures and standards.
  • Maintain all appropriate FINRA/other licenses and complete required compliance training.
  • Follow high standards of business ethics and legal requirements when serving clients.
  • Schedule and hold meetings with clients to capture their goals and develop strategies.
  • Document progress against goals and implement agreed-upon strategies.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients and develop a service model to support their financial goals.
  • Achieve or exceed program standards for additional compensation opportunities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and abilities.
  • Generate leads through various methods including prospecting and networking.
  • Develop and execute a marketing plan to attract client prospects.
  • Contact clients to confirm account-level information for suitability purposes.
  • Offer fact-based price quotes for stocks and other market-based products.
  • Create client summary letters or emails summarizing investment balances and returns.
  • Input requests to transfer securities and cash as directed by clients.
  • Confirm account information and prepare documentation for withdrawal requests.
  • Contact clients to initiate Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) instructions.
  • Maintain prospects and client data including notes and follow-up appointments.
