The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of incoming and outgoing shipments within the organization. This role involves receiving, verifying, and processing incoming shipments, ensuring that all products are accurately packed and prepared for shipping. The coordinator will review and record incoming shipments, checking the condition of contents against the original order to ensure accuracy. Additionally, the coordinator will route or move shipments to the appropriate departments or storage locations, maintaining an organized and efficient shipping and receiving process. In this position, the coordinator will operate a hi-lo to load, unload, and move materials as needed. They will utilize various equipment, including computer terminals, personal computers, bar-coders, printers, photocopiers, fax machines, and calculators, to perform their duties effectively. A critical aspect of the role is verifying all incoming shipments for correct waybill information and visible damage, as well as communicating and following up on any discrepancies with suppliers and publishers. The coordinator will log all incoming shipments and perform data entry into the QAD system, ensuring that all incoming materials, subassemblies, and assemblies are received, labeled, and placed in the appropriate storage areas. The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will also prepare and process merchandise for return to suppliers or delivery to customers, ensuring that all shipping documents are complete. They will maintain organized and relevant files and communicate with team members to resolve any shipping-related issues. Safety is paramount, and the coordinator will maintain a safe, secure, and healthy shipping and receiving environment by adhering to Android standards and policies, as well as legal regulations. Other supporting duties may include operating a floor scrubber and assisting with mechanical assembly projects during slower shipping and receiving periods. The coordinator will also be expected to perform any other duties as assigned.
