About the position

ARC Technologies LLC, a Hexcel company, is the leading manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) absorbing materials for defense and wireless applications worldwide. Hexcel is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for our Amesbury, MA, USA location. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring the efficient shipping and receiving of products, which includes material preparation, carrier scheduling, and coordination with various departments such as operations, sales/marketing, and quality assurance. The role requires compliance with regulations for shipping hazardous materials, including DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations. The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator will review shipping tables to ensure all requirements are met and will make shipping arrangements by contacting freight forwarders and carriers to schedule pick-ups and transportation. This position also involves executing and shipping epoxy resins, films, and carbon fiber prepreg products, ensuring that all team members are properly trained according to company and external regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with different work groups. This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens. Responsibilities

  • Ensure the shipping/receiving of products including material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinating.
  • Manage and oversee shipping/receiving activities through proper coordination with operations, sales/marketing, and quality assurance.
  • Ship hazardous materials in compliance with DOT, IATA & IMDG regulations.
  • Review shipping tables to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Make shipping arrangements by contacting freight forwarders and carriers to schedule pick-ups and transportation.
  • Execute and ship epoxy resins/films and carbon fiber prepreg products, including material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinating.
  • Ensure all team members are trained properly according to company and external regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates Degree preferred.
  • 1+ years related experience and/or training.
  • Basic computer skills including functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable programs.
  • Understanding of an MRP system; Microsoft AX exposure is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate distinctly with different work groups.
  • Experience with UPS and FedEx Ship applications preferred.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, good organization skills, and the ability to deal with problems and come to viable solutions, including knowing when and how to escalate issues as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to be trained and certified to ship hazardous materials, both domestically and internationally.
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver's license.
