About the position

The Shipping Technician is responsible for processing, packaging, and shipping packages at Belmar Pharmacy. This role requires a commitment to the mission and goals of Pharmacy Solutions Pharmacy. The Shipping Technician will perform various tasks including data entry, ordering supplies from vendors, and ensuring that all orders are processed, packaged, and shipped accurately. The position also involves maintaining a daily Excel spreadsheet of tracking information for internal monthly reporting. Additionally, the Shipping Technician may assist with receiving and material handling as needed, and will be responsible for greeting and assisting patients at the door. The role requires organizing stock and maintaining inventory of shipping supplies, as well as examining incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling. The Shipping Technician must also maintain compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements and consult with the Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician leader on duty as necessary. Other duties may be assigned as business needs arise.

Responsibilities

  • Process, package, and ship packages accurately.

  • Greet and assist patients at the door.
  • Organize stock and maintain inventory of shipping supplies.

  • Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately.
  • Comply with all state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling.
  • Maintain compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Consult with Pharmacist/Pharmacy Technician leader on duty as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
