About the position

As a Site Facility Manager at EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS), you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of area sites to ensure that client needs are met and exceeded. This position requires a proactive approach to managing the on-site safety program, fostering a safety-first culture among all associates. You will be responsible for developing key client relationships and managing workloads within an established budget, ensuring that both internal and external customer needs are prioritized and met. Your responsibilities will include maintaining site process manuals and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will also be tasked with updating and managing changes to the contract equipment list or specifications through the Change Order Process. A significant part of your role will involve managing, assessing, and developing associates through the Performance Appraisal Form (PAF) process, as well as collaborating with Human Resources to coach and discipline staff according to company policy. In addition, you will oversee the hiring process, including conducting candidate interviews and managing the new hire onboarding process. You will be responsible for managing the site HR processes, ensuring timely submission of completed reviews, and maintaining the employee training matrix to ensure all employees have obtained the required training. Your role will also involve managing subcontractors, including overseeing the competitive bid process for requested projects and ensuring that all paperwork and work orders from the site are completed accurately and on time. You will prepare for and attend required customer and Viox meetings, including bimonthly site visits and regular staff meetings. Monitoring all trade group activities and subcontractors on a daily or project basis will be essential, as will performing required work orders as needed. You will conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary, manage site performance metrics, and implement action plans to address any metrics that do not meet established goals. Additionally, you will maintain site supplies inventory and coordinate customer-driven or PM-generated project work orders, ensuring effective site management across various responsibilities including time sheets, work orders, financials, and reporting to steering meetings.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) or equivalent from an accredited college or 10 plus years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in an industrial environment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially Excel, with experience in formulas, graphs, and data manipulation.
  • Ability to create and/or modify existing Word and PowerPoint documents.
  • Knowledge of CMMS and prior experience in the use of a CMMS program.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, and Mechanical systems.
  • Good level of public speaking and ability to make presentations to groups.
