About The Position

The Site IT Engineer at Ford Motor Company plays a crucial role in supporting the Van Dyke Electric Powertrain Center, which focuses on manufacturing electric power units and hybrid transmissions. This position involves maintaining IT systems that ensure the smooth operation of plant lines, providing technical support, and contributing to process improvements in a manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Enterprise IT in areas such as Dell PCs, Dell Laptops, HP Printers, and HP Servers
  • Experience with Windows server and Windows Active Directory/ADFS
  • Experience with VM servers (vSphere)
  • Server administration experience in Windows (2012+) or Linux

Responsibilities

  • Support a multi-shift operation in a manufacturing plant.
  • Provide technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools to plant business customers.
  • Interface with Business IT and business owners to prioritize improvement efforts.
  • Support Plant Floor Systems and resolve incidents, providing hands-on support to teams as necessary.
  • Focus on the integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware.
  • Assist team lead with managing assignments and workload.
  • Develop, maintain, and share accurate support documentation.
  • Support local network equipment in a Cisco-based environment.
  • Support local servers across both physical and virtual environments in Windows and Linux ecosystems.
  • Support IIOT deployments and expansion efforts utilizing iOS and Android-based equipment.
