About the position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Program Manager and Site Lead to oversee the Weapons & Space Systems Operation in Warner Robins, Georgia. This role is pivotal in providing leadership to the Warner Robins team, managing multiple Program Managers and personnel, and ensuring the successful execution of programs for U.S. Government customers within the Department of Defense (DoD). The Program Manager will be responsible for achieving business goals and growth targets, developing personnel, and serving as the primary point of contact for HII with assigned customers. This position directly contributes to the definition and implementation of company strategy in the Warner Robins market. The successful candidate will possess significant experience in leading teams that provide services and solutions to maintain and modernize critical weapons and systems. As the Program Manager, you will be responsible for the profit and loss of a large, complex program or office, directing all phases of programs from inception through completion. You will oversee multiple customers, develop and manage plans across several subcontractors, and ensure the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs. This includes leading program review sessions with customers, establishing milestones, monitoring adherence to master plans, and identifying program problems to obtain solutions. You will also direct the work of employees across technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and maintaining high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the profit and loss of a large complex program/office.
  • Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
  • Serves multiple customers requiring developing and managing plans across several subcontractors.
  • Oversees a program contained at one primary geographic location covering remote locations and multiple business functions and employees directly assigned to the program.
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs.
  • Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
  • Develops new business or expands services with the customer.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions.
  • Directs the work of employees including management level assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
  • Works with all functional departments as required to ensure continued customer satisfaction and compliance with corporate policies and standards.

Requirements

  • 8 years relevant and progressive experience with a Bachelor's degree in related field; 6 years relevant and progressive experience with a Master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.

  • Prior experience managing Air Force programs and/or an understanding of Air Force logistics.

Nice-to-haves

  • Recent experience managing multiple Program or Project Managers.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience supporting DoD contracts (either active duty or as a contractor).
  • A minimum of 4 years of management/leadership experience in a programmatic or organizational capacity.
  • Strong experience in supply chain or logistics, obsolescence management, data analytics, reverse engineering, and/or prototyping.
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Involvement with industry groups such as NDIA.
