This position requires a seasoned leader with a strong background in management, particularly in manufacturing, production, or distribution environments. The Site Leader will manage and lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, ensuring that performance objectives are met while fostering a positive work environment and building leadership capabilities within the team. The role demands flexibility, as the Site Leader must be prepared to work various hours, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs. In this role, the Site Leader will drive the creation of quality initiatives and process change initiatives, utilizing Lean techniques to enhance operational efficiency. They will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations. Setting clear expectations for Operations and Area Managers is crucial, as is measuring performance, providing feedback, and holding managers accountable for their departments' outcomes. The Site Leader will also collaborate closely with support staff across various functions, including HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT, to secure necessary resources for projects and initiatives. The position involves significant physical demands, including lifting and moving totes weighing up to 49 pounds, regular bending, stretching, and walking throughout the facility, which can span over a quarter mile. The Site Leader must be able to navigate construction and distribution environments that may be noisy or unconditioned, and they should be comfortable ascending and descending ladders and stairs safely. A degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field, along with an MBA, is preferred, as is experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle changing priorities and make sound judgments in stressful situations, with a keen interest in long-term career development across multiple Fulfillment Centers nationwide.
