Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) at Equifax is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that internal and external services meet or exceed reliability and performance expectations while adhering to Equifax engineering principles. This role is crucial in maintaining the uptime and reliability of systems across cloud-native and hybrid architectures, utilizing a variety of tools and practices to solve operational problems effectively. As an SRE, you will be responsible for managing system uptime, building infrastructure as code (IAC) patterns that meet security and engineering standards, and developing CI/CD pipelines for application deployment. You will also create automated tooling to facilitate service requests and manage complex distributed architecture service maps. The role requires leading blameless postmortems for availability issues and being on call for high-severity application incidents, with a focus on improving mean time to recovery (MTTR). Equifax promotes a culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, and problem-solving. The SRE team is encouraged to collaborate, think big, and take risks in a blame-free environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful projects while receiving the support and mentorship needed for professional growth.
