Responsibilities
- Work with other Oracle DBA team members to maintain 100% uptime of an extremely large and performant enterprise Oracle RAC installation
- Work with other Cloud team members to tune the performance of queries before they are run, and monitor them for improvements as they are run
- Install new servers as necessary and update, patch, and monitor existing servers
- Ensure database backups are architected and executed well, ensuring and testing recovery procedures
- Monitor and maintain a complex Golden Gate replication across multiple clusters
- Ensure the security and compliance of the Oracle database architecture and associated services
- Coordinate activities with a diverse set of development and infrastructure teams
- Troubleshoot any identified issue to resolution and root cause
- Maintain and create excellent documentation on the database and associated systems
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with Oracle 19c (or higher) RDBMS in a RAC environment
- Solid experience architecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining GoldenGate replication
- Solid experience supporting OLTP RAC database environments
- Experience supporting Business Intelligence OLAP database systems
- Experience ensuring database backups through RMAN
- Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting using OEM
- Familiarity with ASM
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Nice-to-haves
- Developing Shell scripts in an RHEL environment
- Administration of Delphix systems
- Knowledge of SAN
