About the position

The SLED Account Executive role at SailPoint focuses on selling Identity Security Solutions to State & Local Government and Higher Education entities. This position requires an experienced sales executive who can navigate complex accounts, primarily at the C level, and is adept at negotiating high-value contracts within a lengthy sales cycle. The role emphasizes the use of the Challenger sales methodology and involves engaging with approximately 30 target customers, leveraging both direct sales and influential channel partners.

Responsibilities

  • Sell Identity Security Solutions to State & Local Government and Higher Education entities.
  • Engage with approximately 30 target customers to achieve sales quotas.
  • Negotiate high-value contracts across lengthy sales cycles.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level decision makers and key buyers.
  • Create and present territory plans and stakeholder maps for key partners.
  • Demonstrate SFDC hygiene with regular, accurate activity and updates.
  • Implement an operating cadence with virtual teams and clear meeting purposes.

Requirements

  • Experience in SaaS, Cybersecurity, or IAM/IGA sales.
  • Proven track record of navigating complex accounts at the C level.
  • Strong negotiation skills for high-value contracts.
  • Ability to develop compelling business value propositions.
