About the position

Cayuse Technologies, LLC is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Software Developer specializing in Systems Software to join our team. This position is integral to our mission of providing innovative technology solutions and government services. The SME Software Developer will work closely with IT and Business teams to develop and enhance ServiceNow capabilities, ensuring that all duties align with the core values of Cayuse. The role requires a combination of independent work on tactical enterprise projects and collaboration with peers to create real-time solutions that meet business needs. In this position, the SME Software Developer will act as a ServiceNow Business Analyst, responsible for estimating, implementing, and enhancing the ServiceNow platform and its various modules according to business requirements. The developer will configure and enhance core applications, including but not limited to Service Catalog, Service Portal, Incident Management, Knowledge Base, Project & Portfolio Management, and Reporting Administration of the ServiceNow platform. A key aspect of this role is the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, such as requirements, system architecture designs, and use case diagrams. Strong communication skills are essential, as the SME Software Developer will need to collaborate effectively across teams and the organization. The position may also involve other duties as assigned, reflecting the dynamic nature of the work environment. The ideal candidate will thrive in a professional remote office setting, demonstrating the ability to manage time effectively, multitask, and maintain a productive workspace while adhering to polished office protocols and high-tempo communication streams.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IT and Business teams to develop and enhance ServiceNow capabilities.
  • Work independently on tactical enterprise projects and collaborate with peers to develop real-time solutions.
  • Act as ServiceNow Business Analyst in estimating, implementing, and enhancing ServiceNow platform and modules per business requirements.
  • Configure and enhance core applications, including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Incidents, Knowledge Base, Management, Project & Portfolio, and Reporting Administration of ServiceNow platform.
  • Write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including requirements, system architecture design, and use case diagrams.
  • Utilize strong communication skills and collaborate effectively across the team and the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience supporting the implementation, administration, configuration, and/or development with ServiceNow ITSM application suite.
  • 4+ years experience with hands-on implementation and support experience with ServiceNow ITSM application suite.
  • 4+ years working with IT and Business teams to develop and enhance ServiceNow capabilities.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification.
  • Hands-on implementation and support experience with ServiceNow ITSM application suite.
  • Hands-on experience working with implementing and supporting ServiceNow platform features/functions including CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Service Portal, Workflows, Knowledge, and Roles/permissions.
  • Secret Clearance is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
