About The Position

The Smokehouse Specialist is a part-time role at Conagra Brands, focused on producing Duke's Meat Snacks in the Macomb, MI manufacturing facility. This position involves operating and monitoring smokehouse processes, ensuring product quality, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires working during the 3rd shift, primarily Thursday to Saturday, with a pay rate of $19.00 per hour plus additional premiums and raises after 90 days.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Understanding of HACCP
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 60lbs
  • Willingness to cross-train
  • Desire to participate in ongoing efficiency projects

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor all Smokehouse processes
  • Take product temperatures and water activities
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Move full trucks of meat weighing 750lbs
  • Identify and tag product
  • Control product quality
  • Clean smokehouses and equipment
  • Learn the use of lab equipment
  • Follow all GMPs and USDA guidelines
  • Communicate product status throughout all levels of the organization
  • Assist in other areas of the plant during Smokehouse downtime
  • Work weekends as needed
