About the position

The Social Media and Digital Manager at Nemacolin is responsible for enhancing the online presence of the resort through effective social media strategies and digital communications. This role involves managing social media platforms, updating website content, and ensuring all digital materials align with the brand's communication goals. The position requires creativity, strong writing skills, and the ability to analyze data to improve engagement, all while contributing to a memorable guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Monitor and respond to social media interactions and messages.
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Manage and update website content, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with the web development team to enhance user experience and functionality.
  • Assist and create targeted emails to get through multiple segments and databases.
  • Upload and monitor digital materials through Issuu.
  • Edit and proofread various types of internal and external content including signage, promotional materials, newsletters, website content, and articles for clarity, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Work with team members to ensure all written materials are engaging and meet communication goals.

Requirements

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in social media management and digital communications.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve engagement.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Salesforce, Mailchimp and Icontact.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
