Social Media Content Creator Intern

About the position

The Social Media Content Creator intern will assist and work closely with the Creative Brand Team to fulfill and support the team's social media goals. They will produce engaging short-form content for Security Service Federal Credit Union's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. Collaborate with the team to plan content, implement feedback, and analyze performance metrics (views, likes, shares, and comments) to continuously refine the social media strategy.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging content trends
• Create internal resources on trending audio clips and innovative storytelling techniques
• Ensure all content aligns with the Security Service Federal Credit Union's mission and values
• Produce engaging short-form content for social media platforms
• Collaborate with the team to plan content and implement feedback
• Analyze performance metrics to refine social media strategy

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or related field
• Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other emerging social media content types
• Basic video editing skills (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar)
• Strong storytelling abilities and a passion for staying on top of social media trends
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
• Self-motivated with a solid understanding of social media best practices and algorithms

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SQL for data extraction
• Knowledge of Python or R
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
• Proficiency with EXCEL such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP
