About the position

The Social Media Content Designer will play a crucial role in a vibrant in-house creative agency, focusing on crafting engaging content for social media platforms. This position involves collaborating with a team to develop innovative visuals and strategies that enhance the brand's online presence, particularly for a top Fortune 500 company in the finance industry. The ideal candidate will be an out-of-the-box thinker with a strong background in social media marketing and design, ready to make a significant impact through creative content creation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with a Copywriter, Design Lead, and Creative Director to produce engaging social campaigns across platforms.
  • Build fresh and innovative visuals that align with the client's brand guidelines.
  • Develop and deliver social media content from conception to execution, including designing, shooting, and editing.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in social platforms, leveraging required specs and best practices for each platform.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings, internal reviews, and client presentation calls to promote high-quality assets.
  • Identify and implement effective methods of visually communicating messages using static, motion graphics, and video.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of design experience with a focus on social media marketing.
  • Agency experience, preferably in-house agency experience.
  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of design fundamentals including typography, color theory, and brand adherence.
  • Experience with ADA compliance in marketing collateral is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong presentation skills and effective communication with internal clients and senior leaders.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing or a related field.
