About the position

As a Social Media Content Moderator at Alorica, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of online communities by reviewing and moderating user-generated content. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all content adheres to community guidelines and policies, thereby creating a safe and comfortable environment for users. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex policies while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review content (video, image, text) and conduct quality control to ensure compliance with local policies and regulations.
  • Become knowledgeable about online community standards and apply them to content moderation.
  • Interpret and apply complex policies and guidelines to user-generated content.
  • Review reported content within agreed turnaround times and standards of quality.
  • Escalate issues that fall outside of company policy.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong computer navigational skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional listening and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to handle viewing graphic and potentially disturbing content.
  • Ability to react quickly and effectively with high attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good understanding of social media pop culture.
  • Proven experience in overcoming unexpected difficulties and using logical problem-solving skills.
