About the position

As a Software Developer Advisor at GDIT, you will deliver innovative solutions to complex problems, focusing on application development to enhance user experience. This role involves supporting the Life Cycle Sustainment and modernization of the All-Weapon Information System (AWIS), ensuring that the system meets the needs of Naval squadrons and other stakeholders. You will work within a diverse, agile team, utilizing cutting-edge technology and collaborating remotely to achieve project goals. Your contributions will not only impact current operations but also shape the future of defense technology.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, and modify enterprise-wide systems and applications software.
• Collaborate with a diverse, agile, distributed development team to modernize the AWIS system.
• Utilize Government systems for collaboration, development, testing, and deployment of solutions.
• Participate in the modernization of the AWIS solution to improve Naval squadron weapons management and reporting.
• Act as a senior developer, mentoring fellow GDIT developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a STEM field.
• 7+ years of related experience in software development.
• Proficiency in .NET, .NET Core/MVC, SQL Server, Visual Basic, Visual Studio, and GitHub.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interpret use cases and problem statements.
