About the position

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking a Software Developer IV to join the software development team supporting the execution of a large size, multi-year contract to the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) Army Military Payroll (AMP). The Software Developer IV will be an agile development team member, responsible for designing technical solutions and extending PeopleSoft application functionality to meet development team objectives. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in an agile team environment, collaborating with team members to remove blockers and resolve problems, and sharing information within and across teams. In this role, the Software Developer IV will create technical design specifications and extend PeopleSoft software functionality to meet these specifications using PeopleTools technology. The developer will also configure modules in PeopleSoft software to align with design specifications and provide estimates for work assignments. Documentation of software configurations in prescribed documentation tools is essential, as is conducting unit testing in line with defined quality engineering processes. The developer will engage in software development activities to support application enhancements and system defects, conduct peer reviews on teammates' configurations and code to ensure accuracy and alignment with overall architecture and design, and explain technical approaches and code to team members. Additionally, the Software Developer IV will demonstrate software functionality to end users and mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and educational environment within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical design specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a Computer Software or Engineering major or 4 or more years of experience within the federal government, DoD, Army, or IC preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in a computer software-related field required.
  • PeopleSoft PeopleTools and SQL knowledge required.
  • Strong communication skills required.
  • Certifications in PeopleSoft PeopleTools, and SAFe for Teams preferred.
  • Current Secret clearance required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
