In the role of Storage Developer, you would be responsible for designing and development of features for IBM Storage family of storage products, IBM Software Defined Storage portfolio & IBM cloud storage services. You will be owning and driving product functionality as SME and represent it in global product team. You will work with the senior technical leaders and manager in effectively managing the deliverables through technical skills and prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for IBM Storage products.
• Drive product functionality as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Collaborate with senior technical leaders and managers.
• Manage deliverables through technical skills and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Strong technical skills in storage system architecture.
• Proven Storage domain knowledge with hands-on experience on storage software stack implementation.
• Experience with High availability, replication, and storage multi-pathing solutions.
• Strong skills in Unix/Linux internals.
• Hands-on experience in multi-threading, synchronization, interrupt handling & file systems, Kernel programming.
• Experience in Linux Kernel and User space Programming, Debugging, development and build tools in a Linux development environment.
• Experience in Algorithms, Data Structures/File Structures.
• Good understanding of storage protocols such as Fibre Channel, FCoE, SCSI, iSCSI, LLDP, SAN, Multipath IO.
• Ability to understand protocol specifications.
• Understanding of security concepts like encryption, key management, authentications, certificate signing processes, data integrity.
• Programming & Debugging skills in C/C++, Java (good to have).
• Scripting skills in Python, Shell.
• Debugging skills using Tcpdump, Packet tracing/Analysis.
• Networking knowledge in Ethernet (TCP/IP) / Fibre Channel.
• Familiarity with protocols like NVMe, iSCSI, FC.
• Operating System knowledge in Linux.

Nice-to-haves

• OS virtualization.
• VMWare ESX (VASA, vVols).
• MS Windows.
• Testing/Debugging tools like Wireshark, SanBlaze packet analyzer.
• Scripting in Perl.
• Adapters knowledge in ethernet / FC.
