About the position

IBM Cloud Pak for Data is a cloud-native solution that enables enterprises to put their data to work quickly and efficiently. It helps enterprises to generate meaningful insights out of their data that can help them to avoid problems and reach goals. Data is useless if you can't trust it or access it. Cloud Pak for Data lets to do both by enabling users to connect to their data, govern it, find it, and use it for analysis. Cloud Pak for Data also enables all data users to collaborate from a single, unified interface that supports many services that are designed to work together. Cloud Pak for Data fosters productivity by enabling users to find existing data or to request access to data. With modern tools that facilitate analytics and remove barriers to collaboration, users can spend less time finding data and more time using it effectively.

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for implementing solutions on top of Kubernetes / OpenShift as part of install and upgrade for a complex and multi-tiered product.
• You will collaborate with various extended teams to design, implement and test the best solution possible for the platform as a whole.

Requirements

• 4 or more years of professional experience in software development using Python.
• Experience in Containerized application development (using docker/podman/cri-o) and knowledge in Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Experience in Linux and Bash Scripting.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.
• B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in programming using Ansible scripts and Golang.
• Experience with Github or similar SCM tools.
• Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) methodologies.
• Agile Application Development & Scrum methodologies.
• Good debugging skills and trouble-shooting skills.
• Experience with Public Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud).
• Certifications in Kubernetes or OpenShift.
