About the position

As a Software Developer at Prophet Software, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and modifying software systems and applications tailored to meet bespoke customer workflows. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of designs within specified time and cost constraints. You will collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and gather information on project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces. In this position, you will also be responsible for developing software system testing or validation procedures, programming, and documentation. You will determine system performance standards and metrics, monitoring performance through software maintenance, testing, and profiling. Regular consultation with customers and other departments regarding project status, proposals, or technical issues will be essential. You will be expected to update support logs and progress reports regularly to reflect the current status of projects. Additionally, you will monitor the functioning of equipment to ensure that systems operate in conformance with specifications and perform checks to confirm that there are no failed logs assigned to the Support team. Providing support and guidance to users of Pr3 software programs and the Pr3 software application support team will be part of your duties. You will also provide technical details to project managers regarding the requirements of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, utilize your software experience to identify and fix bugs, train others to use computer equipment, and conduct data analysis and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and modify software systems and applications.
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.

• Update support logs/progress reports on a regular basis to reflect the current status.

• Provide support and guidance to users of Pr3 software programs and the Pr3 software application support team.
• Provide technical detail to project managers regarding the requirements of the Enterprise Resource Planning system.
• Utilize software experience to identify and fix bugs in the software.
• Train others to use computer equipment, hardware and development software.
• Conduct data analysis and forecasting.

Requirements

• Two years of full-time work experience as a Software Developer, Application Developer, Developer or related occupations.
• Experience using Prophet's Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) and Application Programming Interface (API).
• Experience using programming languages, including C++, C#, T-SQL, and VBScript.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience of writing and maintaining reports in Crystal Reports.
• Experience of documenting complex data workflows.
