About The Position

The Software Development Engineer in Data Center Systems at AWS is responsible for leading the architecture and development of application software that enhances the efficiency and security of Amazon's data centers. Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and launch of new data acquisition and transport services in the data center infrastructure space.
• Collaborate with senior and junior team members to build new features.
• Ensure sufficient testing is conducted to maintain software quality.
• Participate in on-call rotation to resolve customer issues in production systems.
• Drive best practices that enable a quality product.
• Focus on creating simple and elegant solutions to solve customer challenges.
