About The Position

As a Software Development Engineer in the S3 Buckets team at Amazon, you will be responsible for building and enhancing the next generation of the S3 Buckets service. This role involves designing, implementing, and operating the S3 API experience, ensuring high-quality and scalable software solutions that can handle millions of requests per second. You will work collaboratively with a team of engineers to drive innovation and maintain the high standards expected by customers, while also taking ownership of the systems you build.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve the S3 API experience for all of S3.
• Process millions of requests per second and manage bandwidth in terabits per second.
• Drive innovation to build scalable software solutions for exponential growth.
• Collaborate with peer engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Ensure high standards for test automation, verification processes, and code reviews.
